In the mid 1960's when this album was released it was both 10 years after it's time and showed a glimce of the future. This CD is a must have. If you only buy one SACD then make it this one. And if you do not like classical music then this is a very nice and accessible entrée into music without a constant drum beat. More great performances by Szell and Cleveland. The Fourth is a bit less transparent than the Midsummer Music. Fingal's Cave is the best on here, quite good sound. |
