The intro to this album says it all: "It's recording in the moment, alive, with nothing added or subtracted after it happens. So, in short, this record is a collection of one-song concerts". Silje Nergaard to me is one of the finest Norwegian melodic jazz performers today. This album (her eighth I think), being among the first Norwegian SACDs released, certainly does justice to her captivating music. (That said, experiencing her live sessions is even better).
