Performance:   Sonics:
Lynyrd Skynyrd: Nuthin' Fancy Hybrid Stereo Only

Lynyrd Skynrd's 1975 3rd studio album, 2013 remastered by Kevin Gray for SACD.

Performance: As some of you know when I saw Lynyrd Skynyrd for the first time open for The Who in 1973 at The Cow Palace, this band completely changed my musical direction for years. I became and remain a bonafide southern rocker. This disc I have nothing negative to say as I will have nothing negative to say about any of Skynrd's discs with Ronnie Van Zant. I know this band intimately and they have my complete devotion. Oop's this disc: Great performance with a mix of HARD rock and country twang, exactly what I like. Eight songs all number 1's for me. Absolutely got to have this and have had all versions.

Stereo Sonics: Does not disappoint. Opening track starts off with amp hum, nice, you know your in for a treat. The three guitars come across powerhouse strong and clear. Ronnie's vocals slightly off center to the right on some tracks, no problem with me. Billy's piano easy to hear. Artimus drums and cymbals resonate well, can hear some stick clicks here and there. Plays loud very well, no shrill at all in vocals. These stereo sonics could not be better, thumbs up. Loud playing does not hurt ears, that is a very good sign.

Packaging: Plastic case with rounded corners. Mini booklet with all lyrics and original recording notes. Back of disc has the Analogue Production and Kevin Gray notes.

I have listened to this disc 7 times in car and home before I wrote this review.

I'm a country boy as happy as can be!
