This new shm-sacd is great. I had never heard of this band before. They are British. This is considered more of a cult album by real hardcore rock lovers from the early 70's. As I was curious I sampled the music and my interest became more piqued. I gave it a try. A very expensive chance to say the least.
This is essentially jam oriented rock music with a little bit of a prog feel to it. There is a good measure of folk sound to it as well. Good rock music and the dsd transfer is terrific. I enjoyed the album much better when I listened to it as a whole. There is some bitchin' lead guitar work in here.
If you want to take a chance with music you never heard of before then I recommend this album to you. The song writing and guitar playing is excellent.

| I've had this on LP way back when, then CD and it has been, in all honesty, one of my favourite and most played albums. Today I received my SA-CD copy. I am very happy I. Bought it, we'll worth the money. I think it might get played even more now. I find the detail and quality superb despite its years.

I didn't know this album, or Wishbone Ash, before this arrived. The songs are good for the time they were written in.
Some beautiful high-frequency details and a great feeling of immediacy. Excellent SACD transfer.
