I'm not a big fan of Hank Mobley, but saying that he does play nicely here. Miles as always is lyrical as are the rest of the band, but the two tracks with Coltrane are the main attraction. As for sonics, I think the upper end is a bit brittle but otherwise excellent - deep and wide. Bottom line - I would not plunk down the high price I paid for this SA-CD again. Strictly pedestrian if such a thing can be said about a Miles Davis record.

The stereo portion is remixed (poorly) and fatiguing. If you want digital scour the web for the long OOP Mobile Fidelity CD which uses the original vintage mix.
