Performance:   Sonics:
I had not heard of Rebecca Pidgeon or heard her voice before this disc. Now I will likely be forever spoiled by the SACD format. She and this disc are great. Her voice has a clean, clear, chipper quality that makes it quite like bird song. I will definitely seek out other music of hers on redbook format, but I doubt it will strike the heart as well as this disc does. Her choice of songs is a pleasant balance of fun & brooding, plus one standard. Kalerka, The Witch, & Seven Hours are notable pieces that really let her voice and lyrical style shine. If you like high quality female recording artists, don't let this disc escape your attention.
