Performance:   Sonics:
This year Brazil is being honored, as attests this tribute to the composer Radamés Gnattali (1906-1988) with chamber works for solo guitar, for guitar and piano, as well as for guitar and cello. Radamés Gnattali’s music comes close to a local neo-classic style, mixing popular and learned music. The result is both captivating and jubilatory. Defended by the prodigious artists that are Franz Halasz on the guitar, Débora Halasz on the piano, and Wen-Sinn Yang on the cello, the music by the Brazilian composer can be savored with abandon. Vibrant and inspired, it paints a musical world rich in diverse colors, in which human sentiments metamorphose into momentary contemplation. In a sound recording perfectly respecting the instruments’ tone, this SACD is a real jewel of plenitude one will contemplate often.
