In the shower......coming clean.
Nagraboy, my main system is 4.0 with built in subs (so 4.1) and I'm very happy with it. As long as you properly image your front speakers, you will get a convincing center phantom channel.

Ah, Pinot noir, the Russian Roulette of wines. This could be heaven or this could be hell... For an indulgence I turn to Rioja, especially 1998 Campo Viejo.
My own xmas indulgence will be getting my components out of their shipping containers and arranged in our new digs, a perfect 'Golden Pond' lakeside home, but less spacious than the old farmhouse we left.
