If this is a 1995 recording, it is presumably close to CD resolution in its original fidelity (which is the best it can ever be given its digital origins) ... If so, I'd add this to the growing list of peculiar and pointless Esoteric transfers to SACD.

Esoteric releases are essentially for the Japanese domestic market. To them, the views of the outside world are irrelevant.
