Is this a Grimm recording? Not sure I need annnnooother Mahler 1 ... but perhaps one could be tempted.

It's recorded with the Grimm ADC and Jareds new battery powered mic preamps and Van den Hul carbon cable. I'm biased, but I think this is one of the top five best sounding large orchestra recordings I've ever heard, especially in MCh. It's my reference now.

Perhaps zeus could add the DSD tag (currently missing).

I have been submitting the releases... I don't recall seeing a field for stating that it is a DSD recording..

'I think you volunteer it under 'Recording Details'. It then comes up on the Recent Additions header

I for one need another Mahler 1 on SACD, even though there are already a couple of excellent recent ones (Haitink, Honeck, Nott, MTT and even Gergiev). Never enough of Mahler 1s, so I already pre-ordered this new Fischer.

Just pre-ordered from Amazon UK. This will be my first ever hearing of a Mahler symphony, no less. Looking forward to it...

Jared, where in Budapest do you record if I may ask, in what hall -- the Italian Institute?
