This gem is from DGG Archiv is not only still available but I just bought it from Amazon UK for only £7.99 with the usual free postage. It is a real bargain. The excellent review by 'Castor' on this site says it all. For anyone not familiar with Rameau this is a really good introduction. His music is tuneful and full of snappy, infectious dance rhythms. The recording (in stereo for me) is one of the very best I have heard with just the right amount of ambience, excellent string tone and great detail. It was recorded by Emil Berliner Studios and says 'recorded live' but there is no sign or sound of an audience. If this were the first SACD I had heard it would have converted me. A good follow up disc would be Savall's 'L'Orchestre de Louis XV' on Alia Vox which contains full suites from which the selections on this disc are made.

The follow up must be - are there any more such treasures out there that are somewhat left field and likely to have been overlooked?

From the Alia Vox label: Jordi Savall's JERUSALEM. Sumptuous in literally every aspect including the lavish packaging. Crochet is offering 30% discount if you purchase two or more Alia Vox SACDs through the end of this month........so hurry, hirefox...........
