racerguy's helpful review still leaves me wondering how the SACD MC mix compares with the 5.1 mix on the DVD release.
anyone have any info on this?

another plea for anybody who can advise me on the relative merits of the SACD vs. the 5.1 DVD soundtrack? - if the latter is comparably good or the same as the SACD mix i'd prefer to buy it, as i'd get the visual element then also.

Whatever happened to that Boxset "Der Katalog" of all the albums on CD, Vinyl and SACD?
Can't find any info on it anywhere!

What is the 'The Catalogue' / 'Der Katalog'?
Digitally remastered German and English versions of Autobahn, Radioactivity, Trans Europe Express, The Man Machine, Computer World, Electric Cafe, The Mix and Tour de France Soundtracks albums which are going to be reissued probably in CD, vinyl and SACD format, separately and in a box set with the original art design. There will be no new material.

In an interview for the magazine, "Dummy", Spring Edition 2006, Mr Hütter says that the final mix of "The Catalogue" is being made in London. This shall be published in the summer of 2006,also the first three albums will be published as a boxset too, under the title, "The Early Days".

I just heard the SACD-MC-Mix and I think it's even better than the DTS-Mix on the DVD-Video! There's much more going on at the rear-speakers, left-right, forward-backward with a crystal-clear sound.
But I still have to compare it track-to-track with the DVD-Mix.
