I just received a factory sealed copy of this disc (serial number CS 65123, please note that there are also two other editions listed on this site) from an Amazon dealer via the buying link on this site. Description on this site states this (as well as the other two versions) as a multichannel disc, but to my disappointment the printings on the case cardboard only indicate stereo. The front image has silvery borders instead of golden ones. Barcode on the back cover is 0 7464-65123-6 4. There's also a line "Engineered for SACD by Mark Wilder" on the back cover. Copyright is 1997, 1999 Sony Music Entertainment Inc., manufactured by Columbia Records ... New York.

I haven't yet opened the disc. Could anyone confirm whether I actually got a genuine stereo only disc or is it more likely that the printings are incorrect and there's also a multichannel program included, please?

According to the link below it's the single layer stereo/multichannel sacd.

My copy of the disk ends in -2 6 however now that I've investigated it I think my son might have changed cases, he had the cd and I loaned him the SACD. I'll be seeing him this weekend and verify the case. My disk is stereo/multicahnnel. No barcode on the disk and no CD layer.

Hi Derek,
Just to confirm that this disc, Columbia Legacy SACD (not hybrid) 5.1 surround, catalog # CS 65123, is the disc I received from my Amazon seller.

It is a bit of a crap shoot when ordering as the sellers are a bit clueless to what they are selling you in regards to this disc.

Sonic quality in 5.1 at 88.2Khz is stunning and performance is equally great.

Ah, I bought this version Herbie Hancock: Head Hunters

If it is multichannel like yours, it sounds like I'm in for a treat :)
