I purchased this disc on the two reviews of 5 stars but did not heed the warning about too much in one go.....sonically I agree this is as good as it gets...and performance wise ,no one is going to challenge J williams capabilities but this musically is a GIANT Frizzby...If you think from the write ups and advertising re African music that this is another potential Paul Simon Graceland..It Isnt and is nowhere near it,,,Some of the African rythms seem to be a bit Caribbean or in one case sound like the Harry Lime theme..other pieces are very repetetive and the added African chorus however pleasant is hardly worthwhile..Its totally lacking in emotion or feeling....So much for just having two thirds of a review in performance and sonics....If content is mediocre Its not worth having...Look on Ebay for this soon.....Dave

If you haven't come across them already, you may enjoy the "Soweto String Quartet" live (they tour quite regularly) or on RBCD. And if you enjoy African music you may find the following website interesting:
