Has anyone heard this SACD? I would love to hear her play a Bosendorfer in REAL hi-fidelity. It's been over 22 years since I heard reel-to-reel studio tapes of her performances.

Heard the redbook cd a few years ago, - performance was good without being great, sound very good without bowling me over.

I haven't heard this either, but for my money Rosenberger's earlier Delos recording, Water Music of the Impressionists, was a much more effective demonstration of the special qualities of the Bosendorfer Imperial concert grand. Particularly in Debussy's La Cathedrale Engloutie the extra bass notes make a real difference to the sound as Rosenberger doubles a low C in the score, which sounds at a 16 hz fundamental on the Bosendorfer (and I leave it to my betters to say whether the cathedral is sunken or engulfed). Since this was an original Sounstream recording engineered by Stan Ricker so it certainly ought to benefit from remastering for sacd. I would buy it in a heartbeat if Topmusic, or anyone else, would do so. I don't have the Beethoven to hand so I don't know if that was also a Soundstream recording, but I believe it was.
