And no doubt it will be in 2 channel stereo despite there being 4 channel masters sat in the vaults of the record company It was orginally mastered with SQ quad in mind, still one to look forward to.

It is good to see this coming out as an SACD, but if the 4channel masters exist what a pity we can't get to hear that version, which SACD can deliver. Why is there this trend to SACD 2ch only, given that there a number of us out there who enjoy and indeed prefer surround versions? The Hybrid SACD disc is perfect for keeping all of us happy surely?

Obviously very few labels want to go through the extra effort and costs involved in mixing and mastering 4 channels for sacd... even when they already exist... we should let MFSL know that we are still interested in multichannel... I can honestly say, that I had bought that release if it had been multichannel... but in stereo, I just do not fid it interesting enough...

Now that the Philips quad masters have dried up, Pentatone should start a rock classics RQR series. But without the ugly grey covers :-)

If they did, Claude, I would not care if they came in a plain brown wrapper! But isn't Pentatone also doing Decca re~ masters, as well?
