I'm sure this has been asked already, but I'm a new member so bare with!

I have a purely headphone set-up, Grado PS1000's, Woo Audio WA6SE tube headphone amp and Cyrus CD8SE player.

Looking for recommendations for an SACD player as I feel I'm missing out on something with just a standard cdp. Budget is Around £1500.

Thanks in anticipation!

Marantz KI Pearl (seems to be around £2000+) or the newer KI Pearl Lite (RRP £1000 but can be found for around £700).

Looking around the forums/fora will bring up the following three companies being discussed/compared:
Marantz
Oppo
Sony
Each company has its fans, but in the end, you ought to find somewhere that can offer you an A/B(/C) comparison, though this could be difficult with the Oppo. If you're after a BD/DVD player within your budget, then the Oppo would be best.
Sony's most recent "flagship", the SCD-XA5400ES, seems to be out of production, though I think it is still possible to find them.

Have fun!

Yamaha CD-S1000/CD-S2000 (balanced). Looks beautiful, excellent buildt quality and very good sound.
