As I'm heading for New York tomorrow: any advice on where to look for SACD's would be nmuch appreciated.

Its a big state. however in manhatten try J&R music park row.

Kal is spot on. With the lack of availability of old and new pop SACD titles, many of us have more SACDs in our collections than most music stores have in stock.

I have given up looking for SACDs in brick and mortar stores.

I posted this thread a while ago, lots of good comments: /showthread/51998/52002

Short version: J&R (classical is on the 2nd floor) on Park Row by City Hall and Fulton St. has a fantastic selection, Academy Records on 18th between 5 and 6 has a small (maybe 50 discs) SACD selection, but great prices (most are used), and SACDs are stocked together.

It does seem a lot of us are based in NYC...

Yes, afaik, the best selection is at J&R. As for Academy, their small collection seems, largely, to be the residue of the last bunch of my discards!

Mebbe I should open a store!
