According to both Amazon[US] and CD Universe, July 6th will see the release of "I Love MJ (Michael Jackson) Forever", a 2 disc set......one a compilation of cover versions of MJ's songs and the other a remix disc. Universal/Zoom is the distributor. It is unclear whether it will be stereo or m/c and whether the 2nd disc of remixes will also be an SACD but the price listed on both sites is under $47 (US). CD Japan, on the other hand, only lists it as 2 RBCDs so for those Sherlock Holmes out there.... start snooping......

Interesting. I would add that Thriller and Off The Wall sound great in redbook as Bernie Grundman did the mastering. I really like my Thriller SACD as well.

I'd love to have some Off The Wall tracks in DSD.

I'll add to the confusion...

Amazon JP says SACD:

super-audiocd.com doesn't have any listing of this title in the Michael Jackson catagory:

You don't seem to be interested in who actually performs these cover versions. Maybe it's some japanese school bands ;-)

Or perhaps unibrowed Susan Boyle performing "Thriller" with Yo Yo Ma accompanying her on the cello. Claude, it's the element of surprise that intrigues......Hey, it might even be vaporware! BTW, the Japanese school band is anxiously waiting in the wings to record the Love Theme from MOTHRA for a future SHM-SACD release. Save up your yen!

So, does anyone have any updates on the tracklisting for this upcoming release? Also, did anyone find out if it will be stereo only or stereo/multi-channel?
