As I said in the BIS thread, it's one of my absolute favorite pieces. I think this SACD is a no brainer, really, especially considering the fantastic job this team did on the Choros (and the orchestra on the Bachianas, mostly)

I'm really looking forward to this recording. Are there other things "in the can" from Neschling's tenure in Sao Paulo? I've gotten most of what you've released from him and the OSESP and never found anything to be less than excellent.

Yes, we're just putting the finishing touches on the Respighi Roman Trilogy in a sound that is nothing less than spectacular - I heard some of it today in the studio.

PS: Oh yes, there is one Hindemith also
Hindemith: Mathis der Maler, symphony; Nobilissima visione, ballet suite for orchestra; Symphonic Metamorphosis of Themes by Carl Maria von Weber

Both of these SACD.
