What do you guys think about slimline doubles? I hate those things, and transfer the two CDs to seperate jewel cases.

If the center spindle on a digipak breaks, you're screwed. As to protecting LP sleeves, using plastic around the corners is basically akin to covering your notes with a jewel case; it's just that the jewel case is harder and therefore provides more protection. Jewel caes are easily replacible and designed to keep the booklet and disc in pristine condition. I don't get it when people hate the clickety-clack and think they're cheap. The only way a digipak can look like mint after 10 years is if you never take it off your shelf to play the disc. But a jewel cased item? Take care of it and it should look great. If it doesn't, 50 cents puts a new jewel case around the contents (which as we all know, are the really precious part of the package.

I find that the kind which unfold outward break easily. But the kind that open like a book work fine; I have no problem with them.

jpc.de sell them individually.
I failed to find Super Jewel Cases at jpc.de. Well, I don't understand German and I suspect the item description is not translated. Can you tell the article No to search for? Thank you in advance.

These guys only have a minimum order of 5 cases & don't seem too unreasonable on price (but I haven't checked out the shipping).

Hi and thanks. I had found that the £5 shipping charge or £7.50 for any greater size order a bit off putting, I may consider a bulk order and sell spares on Ebay...

I've just bought 20 SJCs from them for about $20. No problem with delivery but I had to pay an extra charge of $25.80 for travel via Air Parcel Post (not even an express one!).
Also, has anyone noticed that their cases are not exactly like those used by most distributors, i.e. the famous round corners are larger, so you have to tweak the cover to make it fit in the new case?
