Naah - just put the items in your cart. The CDs that are included in this summer sale will then show as $5,98 in your cart... ;-)

"Unfortunately, this sale had to be discontinued on Friday, June 12. The titles are still listed below at their regular price."

did anyone here purchase $5,98 SACDs after June 12?

I've never ever heard of a sale having to be discontinued before. What? After 2 days? rofl. Hilarious. What happened? They start running out of stock? Or suddenly realise that the demand for SACD is dramatically higher than they ever thought possible.

Oooooooooooooooops. lol.

[ I bought a few on the 11th. ]

This is quite hilarious. Only goes to prove the economic relationship of price/quantity to supply/demand :-)

I ordered a half-dozen SACDs on the 11th and never received a confirmation email. Still waiting and hoping for delivery.

Absolutely pure speculation:

what if the Concord Group had decided to jettison SACD, and just wanted to get rid of not the overstock, but the stock? Didn't someone say that the SACD version cost 5:98, whereas the RBCD version of the same record cost normal price? But, upon seeing the huge orders flowing in, decided that SACD was a going concern after all, cut the sale short and reverted to normal price?

As I said, just speculation.

Yes - I think that's what happened too ... :)

Folks...I placed an order on 6/16 and all SACDs in my order were $5.98 each plus free shipping. Thanks to members of QuadraphonicQuad.com I used the coupon CMG to bring the price down to $4.35 per SACD. The "Buy 10 get 1 Free" deal was also still working. Yesterday, I placed another order and paid $4.35 each yet again. So as of last night, the sale has not been discontinued. The SACDs were showing full price on the product pages, but when you added them to the cart, the discounted price appears. I wish I had seen this thread earlier, but I hope this helps.

Regards,
Josh

There were just as many CDs on sale at $5.98. And not all their SACDs were on sale. Their latest releases and bestselling(?) SACDs were not on sale. I had a hard time finding SACDs on sale which I already didn't own that were of any interest. Most titles I were interested in were full price ($18.98). I however were able to find 5 titles that interested me on sale. Status on these are still "in process", and it's been so over a week.
