If you had to pick a "most wanted to be released on SACD" wish list (3 items), what would they be? Just curious what everyone else dreams about.
Bach Cello Suites/Rostropovich
Shostakovich Sym 11/Haitink, Concertgebouw
The Great Organ of St. Eustache/Jean Guillou (orignally on Dorian)

i picked up a very authentic sounding transfer of the quad version of wish you were here on ebay recently. it was a DVD-A.

and oh how i agree with you about the steely dan issues - where on earth are they?! i'm SURE i read somewhere that all the necessary re-mixing had been done, but still there are no releases....

Being pretty well acquainted with the Francescatti/Walter, I would respectfully suggest that more satisfaction can be found in Sony's rbcd of Hilary Hahn and David Zinman with the Baltimore Symphony. (Would there be any benefit in remastering it to SACD? - I don't know.)

1- Bridge over Troubled Water (From the original Master Tapes, if possible...)
2- The Ella Fitzgerald recordings (or, at least, the Songbooks)
3- Hejira by Joni Mitchell (any Joni Mitchell album would be great)

Since it appears that none of those will ever be issued, I have a second list:

1- The Billie Holliday recordings (at least, the ones with Lester Young)
2- The Benny Goodman recordings (especially those with Charlie Christian)
3- Leonard Cohen (especially the early albums)
