I'm late to this thread but I think it is a very nice addition to the site. Thanks to Zeus and Polynomial for their (continuing) efforts.

I , for one, would like the ability to search for SURROUND or "5.1" since I mainly limit new purchases
to discs of this genre.

Most new discs are multichannel even if they're not flagged as such here. Adding a filter to select by multichannel would exclude many discs that meet your criterium for purchase, but for lack of details by the publishers of these discs, can't be appropriately flagged here.

One question though will it in the future list any other genres (I was thinking of Jazz perhaps) Or is that a step too far?
Anything is possible, but the classical catalogue is a long way off from being complete. Jazz isn't an area of my expertise though.

Now that 50% of classical SA-CD titles have been appropriately catalogued, I'm opening the following up for comment: /composers So what do you think?
Good idea, indeed!

I have a disc listed under A for Alfred Schnittke and then under "S", the three piano concertos. It would be nice if the first name listings could be dropped. Schnittke is not the only example.

I should have expressed my pleasure yesterday as well as offering (I hope what will be seen as) constructive criticism. This really is a great addition to the site.

I really think there should be a link to this on the main page!

We should stop short of too much criticism of the current presentations. It is very much a case of 'superb AND' rather than 'superb BUT'
