Yes, I am pretty sure we are due to get symphonies 1-5. Great news I have been looking forward to these releases.

I'm afraid that, as usual, only the symphonies will be recorded, but none of Mendelssohn's fine concert overtures, let alone the incidental music to A Midsummer Night's Dream.
At the moment I must probably be grateful for any new SACD featuring a composer whose name I have heard before.

Ironic is it not?

Also The Midsummer's Night Dream has not in my recollection had a great performance since the Maag. It would be sweet if one of the labels would devote appropriate resources to that one.

Kubelik's is excellent I think, though it's also quite old now.

Szell's recording of the incidental music from a decade later surpasses Maag (and available as a single layer SACD in surprisingly good CBS sound -- if you don't own the disc, use the Mendelssohn anniversary as an excuse to buy it).

BIS is the kind of label that I would expect would tackle Mendelssohn's plethora of unpublished and underperformed chamber music and operas instead of another symphony cycle. As the NY Times lamented, this Mendelssohn Anniversary has been a huge missed opportunity in expanded Mendelssohn's repertoire.

It looks to be out of print.

HMV JP claims to still have a CD version with the DSD transfer from 2000 in stock:
