I see a whole bunch of them now available from various online Japanese vendors. Has anyone heard them? Most of them appear to have been released in late 2007.

I purchased a bunch of the titles that did not come out in the U.S. and I find the sound quality very good. I thought about buying Kind of Blue on Japan SACD but I'm not convinced it is a new mastering.

There were japan releases of most of the Miles Davis titles about 8 years ago. I have not heard any of them. I'm interested in the new masterings from 2007.

Maybe you have this information, maybe not, but here's a link to the Sony Mastersound Miles Davis releases as they have happened and has some mastering information as well.

I was referring to the 2007 SACDs from Japan.

I don't believe the 2007 releases were remasterings, just hybrid releases of the sacd masterings done upon release of the single layer issues. I read that while searching a bunch of MD sites last October or so, and thought it was on the link I provided, but apparently it's not.

Yes, those are the ones I have with the exception of Round About Midnight and On the Corner. They all sound great.

I agree with the other posts in that I do not think the 2007 releases are remasters but just hybrid updates to previous SACD only releases (though a couple look to have not been released before). I have Bitches Brew and On The Corner from the 2007 releases and they are excellent but I also think the earlier Miles SACDs sound great too.
