Has anyone managed to get this SACD?
It appears that it was released just before the Capriccio label went bust, and it was later reissued on the Phoenix Edition label which succeeded Capriccio, but only on CD.
Unlike other Capriccio SACDs, it is not listed on the Phoenix website:

All the stores list is as being unavailable or with a long shipping time.

The Mahler/Bertini Lieder has also been rereleased as RBCD. I don't know whether there are still stocks of the SACD. Unfortunately Kitajenko's Prokofiev symphony cycle hasn't made it to SACD either.

Unexpectedly, I received the SACD very quickly from JPC, although it was listed as backordered ("deliverable within 2-3 weeks")
A bit expensive (25 Euro), but definitely worth it.

Hi Claude I managed to get this item and its fairly cheap nowadays on a few sites.
The first thing I noticed is the lack of any liner notes which doesnt help.
The placeholder review from Amazon is helpfull here.
To those interested in a description (but not a review)
The opening 3 pieces from the Opera Bassariden? No singing ,this must be one of the loudest operas in history.A huge battery of percussion,instruments,brass, cowbells and the kitchen sink are involved!.To a lot of people his music will be borderline with its continuous short and occasionally splintered themes always moving onwards with complexity and variety Usually lots of the very large orchestra playing at the same time .It certainly has dramatic moments and plenty of anxt.
The next 5 tracks" Nightpiece? and Arias(2) start in stark contrast and the violins previously almost overwhelmed play a more important part.These five pieces are again varied in style but never long flowing statements and occasionaly uses volume and timpani to great effect.. ie You WILL jump on at least one occasion.Some tender moments to balance. The singer does have a beautifull voice.
The symphony is again a contrast within reason and comments about Henzes style mostly still apply.Not a disc to sit back and relax to.Probably better to play each of the works seperatly.
