hi there,this is my first post,i have just got this cd today from play.com.Try all 3 cd in my super audio player and they are not sacd,the surround mix is on the dvd,cheers pauly

Yes just got in, ripped it open and tried the disks.
It's as reported above.
The DVD features a "2.0 LPCM Stereo" sound track, which my player shows as Dolby Digital 2.0. Anyone able to tell me what this is? What will it give me that the CD doesn't.
Quad mix is labelled 5.1 STS.
Yours disappointed (even if the packaging is superb).

Thanks goodwood and Pauly. I just cancelled my loooooooooong ago pre-order for this item from CDUniverse. I also emailed them in regards to changing their product information that shows SACD. I also saw on Amazon where you can view both the front and back cover- you can clearly see no SACD logo on the back cover, just the DVD logo (and they also still show this as an SACD Hybrid??!?!?!?!??). Thank you again for the clarifications.

Cancelled my order, If we do not buy and state that we would have bought to the company perhaps they will realise that it is in thier own intrest to provide the consumers with what they want, but I do not hold my breath on this. What gets me is why have just the CD and not a hydrid SACD plus DVD that way everyone is happy. It defies logic. As to amazon showing it as SACD under the UK law the trades description act it is illegal to describe something that it is'nt. In a similar vein I would have bought Deep Purple's Stormbringer but again we have the identical scenario CD plus DVD so another missed sale there then

Well, it is all about money. If they do not use the SACD Logo and format, they do not have to pay the licencing fees. So they save a dollar on each disc and it goes into their own pocket. I won't buy that set because this is really unbelievable. Changing that after the announcement and after they had release the great ELP BSS. F. them, I have had it with this. I have plenty of SACD'S that are still on my wish list which I will buy first.
