Hi,
I just discovered two different box sets:

I am a bit confused about the release politics - I had read about 10 Living Presence SACDs. Wherever I look, I can only find 5 - as in one of these box sets. Where are the other 5? Delayed again?
And what about the 10-SACD-box-set. What's the difference? There are different titles, some, like the Rachmaninoff 2nd piano concerto are the same - or are they different recordings?
Please, if someone has additional information or can point me out to german releases of the SACDs, you are more than welcome to help!

There's two different series: Mercury Living Presence and RCA Living Stereo. Both come from the same era and consist of ten titles each (initially). These are individual discs, not box sets.
The Mercury Living Presence titles are out in Europe on September 13. (Only five of these are currently scheduled for US release on October 12, the remainder presumably later.) For more details, click below:

I don't think the RCA Living Stereo titles have yet been officially announced by BMG but these appear to have an international release date of September 14. For more details on these, click below:

Today I've seen a few Mercury Living Presence sacd's in a cd-shop in The Hague/Holland (Bach Cellosuites/Janos Starker and Respighi/Dorati); multichannel, that is 3.1 (left-centre-right) Most of the 10 sacds are available in Holland now!

I look forward to the 10 SACD set of RCA Living Stereo. I had no idea that they were 3 channel too. Awesome!
I too, noticed that there is only a 5 SACD set of the Mercurys available soon in the US. Will there be a complete (10) box set available in Europe?

In the US, I understand the first 5 will be available on October 12, and the next 5 in November. I haven't heard of any plans for a box set. Both these and the Living Stereo titles are priced keenly already.
