Hi, my wife is a big fan of the Chicago soundtrack, and I realize there is a SACD version. Does anyone have an opinion of the SACD vs. the RB? I can still get the SACD locally but don't want to spend the $ if nota nice step up in sound quality. Any comments appreciated.

I bought it some years ago, but I don't like it very much. The sound results are not on same good level of other jazz SACDs. Too "crispy", too "thiny", sometimes the voices are too "harsh", poor musicality in general. It is probably dued to original master made mainly for the movie.
These are my listening impressions, on my system; it is possible somebody else could differ from my opinion... :-)
