+1 for Sinatra at the Sands!

Mo-Fi has just released the 2 LP version, perhaps the SACD version will be next?

Dooby, Dooby, Do.

Wishful thinking, Teresa, as they released Sinatra's classic "Only The Lonely" as a Gold RBCD..which IMO, was a waste (the original MONO version, at that)

As you know, Concord Records( Yes, THAT Concord Records....the bane of YOUR existence) is now reissuing all Sinatra Reprise Recordings in RBCD from the Sinatra Estate (Yes, Nancy, Frankie, Jr. and Teena are now in charge) so I am doubtful if even MoFi will release that title in SACD.

And what is with all these RBCD Gold~reissues, anyway? It's 2010 and charging $30 for a RBCD, whether gold or pink, is IMO, a real travesty.

Thank God for AP's upcoming re~issues....slow as molasses in their release pattern////but oh, so delectable!

- All (old) Pink Floyd in addition the TDSOTM
- All (old) Jethro Tull
- All (old) ELP, Yes, etc
- Opera (there MUST be good enough recording masters around to have good SACDs)
- More Jazz

Artist? That's easy: Waltraud Meier. If she could sing Isolde the way she did for Mehta, and if we could have that on SACD -- well . . . how could we ask for more? (Not that she isn't good singing for Barenboim, but on the Mehta man does she let loose! Getting ecstatic just THINKING about it.)

Album: the Bohm Cosi fan tutte with Elisabeth Schwarzkopf and Christa Ludwig (for opera), and the 1993 Celibidache Bruckner 8th with the Munchner Philharmoniker (for pure orchestra). The singing on the former is so well recorded it just PIERCES you, and the latter is the 8th to end all 8ths despite the slow tempi.

But one thing is for sure: NO MORE MAHLER! Enough is enough!

What we need on SACD is more opera. Dearth!

As far as pop/rock goes, Radiohead's OK Computer, Magazine's Real Life, and Cowboy Junkies' Trinity Sessions. Re-issues of Violator and Avalon on Japanese SHM-SACD would be great.

Anouar Brahem - Le Pas Du Chat Noir

Anouar Brahem - The Astounding Eyes of Rita

But then they would be stereo only and you'd miss the best part: the multichannel mixes.
