The premiere of "Nozze di figaro" in 1st may of 1786 at the burgertheater of Vienna with Nancy Storace as Susanna. Should be a great thing to have it in blu-ray 5.1.
I would verify if emperor Joseph II yawned at the last act.
regards.

Ella's Clap Hands Here Comes Charlie in SACD, or better yet a sudden windfall that enabled me to buy EMM Labs $20K up-sampling player that takes good RBCD's and elevates em to oh yeah!

Thanks for the information. I have a bunch of AP discs, but somehow missed this news. Any Ella is worth the high resolution treatment IMO.

+1 for Sinatra at the Sands!
What's up with only releasing it on DVD-A? Would the original recording method have anything to do with it? Or does it come down to who owns the master disks/tapes?

Thanks for the heads up. Besides the Songbooks, this is one of the best~sounding and most brilliant examples of Ella Fitzgerald's artistry.
I have a Japanese import of this wonderful recording but on SACD, this is a no~brainer.

At the time, NordicNorm, Warner/Reprise was ONLY releasing DVD~As. They were supposed to release one of my favorite Sinatra albums (from his Reprise period) "Frances Albert Sinatra with Antonio Carlos Jobim" in multi~channel but ceased manufacturing DVD~As before it could be released.
Unfortunately, the Sinatra Estate to which the Reprise collection has now reverted, is being handled by Concord Records but lo and behold, I just purchased this album together with a second, unreleased, Sinatra~Jobim collection on RBCD for $9.99 (and if you have a good RBCD player, then by all means, purchase it....it does sound incredible).
