Well, Newbury does appear to be blowing out it's Telarc SACDs!? I picked up 2 @ $4.99 (Manhattan Transfer & an Audiophile Sampler) and 1 @ $2.99 (Tutti!)! None of Newbury's other SACDs are this cheap!? ... more | |

OK, so I've taken the plunge and bought a used (obviously!) Oppo 780H. So, for the moment, I'm sticking to 2 channel audio. I've also bought an HDMI Switcher (from Monoprice) in order to pull the 192kHz/24bit DSD audio from SACDs. I do have a question regarding amps. Thanks Bill! I have to admit I'm totally ignorant of the multi-channel world!? My only knowledge of MC comes from friends who have these tiny speakers in various positions around their room. Needless to say, I haven't ever been impressed with the sonic quality of them. They all were using them for playback while watching movies. My Luxman LV-105u ... more |
