As primarily a pop and rock fan.I cannot belive the choice available for the classical music fan. I count myself lucky to have 5 to 10 new releases a year to choose from that intrest me. I am constantly playing a game of catch up before the titles I want become too rare or too expensive or both. My wish list would comprise of many of the unreleased Warner multichannel mixes by Joni Mitchell,Doors, Carly Simon, Eagles etc What I would really shell out serious money is to have the 70's Frank Zappa albums that were released as multichannel recordings

The problem from my perspective is that Universal pulled the SACD plug and Warner never supported it leaving very few independants in the pop field to support the SACD cause (unlike classical).

My choices/nominations are:-

Zappa Overnite Sensation (line about four way stereo in the lyrics)
Zappa Apostrophe
Joni Mitchell Court and Spark, Hissing of summer Lawns
Bowie Hunky Dory and Aladdin Sane (to parner Ziggy Stardust)
The Tomita albums released on RCA from "snowflakes are dancing" onwards
Eagles On the Border (Great CD-4 mix)
Thriller by Michael Jackson (not the 2 channel version but M/ch please)
Kate Bush and Paul Simon/Simon & Garfunkle would be a bonus.

Mildly surprised no one mentioned it but symphonic rock type of acts should surely benefit from this format.

We've seen ELP, Yes and a few others listed and actually released but since we are talking about Sony being the dominant label here, why don't they consider Kansas, Electric Light Orchestra, Echolyn and some others?

Queen did an awesome job with the latest DTS version they did for A Night at the Opera but pretty much they're whole catalog could benefit as well.

This is the best album on CTI Records Catalogue, put Jim Hall's Concierto to shame.

More new recorings of modern dutch composer Johan de Meij's symphonies and other works especially Symphony No. 1 "Lord of the Rings.

I was totally thrilled when Johan de Meij: Planet Earth - Osaka Municipal Symphonic Band appeared on SACD conducted by de Meij himself! Problem is Cryston, a sublabel of Exton is a Japanese only release. Exton has imported some of their titles into the European market at a much lower price but not this one yet. However I was willing to pay the Japanese premium to own this recording and if this is the start of a whole series of de Meij conducting his own works I will pay the premium to purchase others as de Meij is one of my favorite composers. So Cryston please record more.
