On an unrelated matter, I see on amazon.com that Hermann Abert's famous biography of Mozart has finally been translated into English and updated. To be released by Yale UP in October.

Here's the line up per Harmonia Mundi:
René Jacobs, dir. Johannes Weisser, bar. Lorenzo Regazzo, b. Alexandrina Pendatchanska, sop. Olga Pasichnyk, sop. Kenneth Tarver, ten. Sunhae Im, sop. Nikolay Borchev, b. Alessandro Guerzoni, b. RIAS Kammerchor Freiburger Barockorchester
Go to link to listen to 2 samples. From what I can hear, sounds like very exciting conducting.

I just got the recording today and scanned through it.
As in the past, Jacobs has completely rethought the pacing, dynamics and phrasing, but like his recent Symphony 41, he's added some pretty dramatic tempo changes.
It also sounds like when Don Giovanni is dragged down to hell, a bass drum has been added to the orchestra which continues to play for about 5 seconds after the music ends.
I'll try to listen to the whole recording this weekend.
Oh, also, the packaging is totally over thought. What happened to the days of a double jewel case and slip case?
