Derek, if the CD layer sounds better than the SACD one, maybe it should be time for a player upgrade, or at least there is a defection with your player. The CD layer sounds decent, but the SACD layer is a LOT better ! Deeper and more precise soundstage, a lot more definition overall and especially on the lower register, richer sound quality by far. Nothing is better on the CD layer.

I agree with Julien. I have just played the disc again comparing the SACD stereo layer with the RBCD layer and find the SACD layer smoother with more detail. But quite honestly it is a great album no matter which layer you play.
