Just got this title last weekend. WOW is all I can say! I'm totally floored. This is by far the best performance and recording of Rhapsody in Blue I've ever heard. The tempos are little slower than usual but it works big time. Absolute magic from start to finish. The Cuban Overture is also excellent, albeit also with slower than normal tempos. Again though it totally works.
The native DSD recorded sound is top notch....great presence without being slightest bit harsh or unnatural.
Worth the price of the disc just for the Rhapsody alone. Kudos to Jeff Tyzik, the orchestra and Jon Nakamatsu for their efforts here.
Very highly recommended.

This disc is good because Mr. Nakamatsu really gets Gershwin. I also like the way they recorded the percussion in the Cuban Overture even though the work was played way too slow.
