This is a really good news.
I hope it will sell a lot so they do not cancel the remaining SACD of Genesis!!!

It is the greatest news in SACD for me to have all the Genesis album in sourround!!!

Nick Davis says that the most improved album is Wind And Wuthering!!!

Have fun... :-)

I see all these are 2 disc sets, according to amazon.

Ah, I see, there's a DVD included in each case. Wonder what will be on them, or are they DVD-A discs?

According to various posts on the genesis-music.com forum, the second disc will be DVD-Video, not DVD-Audio. There's been no official announcement on the video content that I've seen, but rumors are live concert footage, band interviews, etc. Also, the US releases (distributed via Warner, a DVD-A supporter) are planned to be CD (_not_ SA-CD) plus DVD-Video. Caveat emptor!

This doesn't trouble me too much, since I'll import the set for the SA-CDs, and I don't care too much about the video content. I'm not sure what the region coding will be for the DVD-Video discs. The DVD-Videos in the Europe release will be in PAL format; there may be a Japanese release in NTSC, and I don't know about other countries.

Genesis: And Then There Were Three
Genesis: A Trick of the Tail
Genesis: Abacab
Genesis: Duke
Genesis: Wind and Wuthering

My understanding from posts on the genesis-music.com forum is that there should be a boxed set released at the same time, which includes not only these titles, but an extra SA-CD/DVD-Video disc combo with B-sides, EP tracks, etc. From what I've read, this extra disc will _only_ be available as part of the boxed set. I haven't seen any track listings for this disc yet, but Nick Davis (who has remixed all of the recordings into surround) posted that it should include the "Spot the Pigeon" EP tracks and others.

Then again, in some other postings it was implied that the box would include _only_ the extras discs (but would be a nice place to store the main titles), so I could be wrong about that little detail :-)

CDUniverse now has these listed but its the 2 disc DVD and SACD. Curiously, the DVD is in PAL format. Not sure why a US company would carry that unless the Europeans dont get their release on the same day.

Personally, I would rather just have the SACDs, so I hope I can pre order that at some point

I wouldn't be surprised if the Americans don't get the SACDs at all. That's what happened with Depeche Mode: the US releases consisted of an RBCD+DVD, the EU ones of a hybrid SACD+DVD.
