I don't think that those albums are already available in multi-channel.

This thread is really scattershot and random. A few of these (notably the early-mid 70s Boston Symphony recordings) we already know were done in quad, so releasing them is just a question of licensing. Some of the other suggestions are just noise though. I think it would be to everyone's benefit to think about practicality in making wishes, given that people who are in a position to make things happen may actually read some of these threads. Posting early digital or very late analog recordings here seems counterproductive.

A little history: Pentatone will not produce a disc unless it has a mch source.

Yes, in fact Multichannel Sound is part of the Pentatone vision statement:

"It all started with a revolutionary vision that the 5-channel surround sound will gradually replace today's stereo sound. In the beginning of year 2000 it was unheard of. Yet here we are now, more than a decade later, with PENTATONE continuously realizing the vision, by pushing boundaries to produce highest quality recordings in the 5-channel surround sound.

The vision was crystal clear: to offer an unrivalled classical music experience through superior audio technology.

The introduction of 5-channel surround sound which made this experience possible came at a time when classical music sales were suffering. But PENTATONE's founders were unwilling to compromise their vision, so convinced were they of the new technology that they launched their own label in 2001."

Probably not in line with the interests of this site, but I do hope that Pentatone makes their old releases also available as HD (DSD) downloads. I am not sure whether it is a rights issue or Pentatone still favours the physical discs.

Their site shows downloads. For instance, https://pentatone.nativedsd.com/albums/mozart-violin-concertos-nos-34-5

Neither NativeDSD nor Pentatonemusic offer older remastered recordings - be they the Philips RQR series or the DGG Remastered Classics series - as downloads. I suspect this is a licensing issue.

Thanks for the interest in our REMASTERED CLASSICS series.
You suppose correctly, we currently can't provide high res downloads due to legal aspects.
We hope to able also offering this series for download soon.

Good to hear. I hope soon. I stopped buying SACD's almost all together. I moved to DSD downloads where available.

Maybe a change in moniker is in order?
