Mark, I resisted the pricey Aqualung box set but was patient and did find one for $70 (delivered price) from ImportCDs in California. Was worth the wait...and expense.........the BD~A mch of Aqualung is superb in every way. Just floats out of the speakers and surrounds you.

Patience, my man. You've got plenty of music to spin ....... in the meantime!

Hey Ralphie, I see Steven Wilson is in NYC tonight?

Well, it's pouring rain....with thunder and lightning! Wish I was there. BTW, we're getting those horrible storms that ravaged Texas and Oklahoma.

HDTracks is offering digital download, Flac 24/96Khz at a very good price with a 15% discount today, stereo only Steven Wilson remix.

Amazon sells the Blu Ray surround sound package for over $150.00. I don't like Jethro Tull that much.

Anybody have experience with the stereo?

Hi,

The download of Aqualung is brilliant. I actually downloaded from PONO which was a little less than HD Tracks without having to use a discount. I have many versions of this album, probably the MOFI LP from years ago. This is a remix, but to my ear it is more of a recreation of the original stereo mix. It isn't someone thinking he could do a better job of mixing, but more just going back to the session tapes and recreating the stereo mix. There is of course more information than the original stereo mix, but is very true to form. I think you'll enjoy it. I was very pleased and had fun listening to it.

Still have NO idea why Warners never released the absolutely Astounding BD~A of Aqualung separately. Stupid move on their part.

As with ALL the new Tull reissues.....DTS/DD 5.1 on the surrounds and Amazingly stunning stereo in 96/24 (which really shows the superiority of LOSSLESS over LOSSY).

Schizophrenia abounds in the reissue business......and of course, GREED!

I certainly hope the upcoming ROXY music 5.1 Steve Wilson remasters are NOT big box set affairs and that the albums will be released independently of the box sets.
