You just solved my dilemma on how to spend my CDJapan bonus points, Brett.

Thanks for the heads~up. Does sound beautiful and probably more so in 5.1.

And what would I do without my Brëëtä: I'd be Björked....that's what http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-6pWnCfdeCmw/Thupm2TSOxI/AAAAAAAAARc/jwKetuA_c7k/s1600/bjork_dazed%2526confused_editorial1.jpg

I think you'll like it, Ralphie. (^-^)/**

The surround mix is aggressive. The rear channels are quite active and loud...just the way I like it! In fact, the whole mix is on the loud side, but I don't feel it's overly compressed or anything. It's very crankable...just get ready for heavy drums and bass. And there is a proper English CD booklet along with the Japanese one. It's also nice to have a RBCD included for the car, boom-box or whatever.

Speaking of Björk, I finally watched Dancer in the Dark. It started out a little slow, but it was much better than I thought it would be. And yes, Björk's performance was intensely good. I am surprised she hasn't done more films. Or...maybe she has and they just flew the way of her swan...

Anyway, it was great to see Joel Grey! Hallo, Stranger!! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hBlB8RAJEEc

Have yet to watch my DVD of Strangers In The Dark. Will have to dig it out of mothballs and watch.

I saw the original Cabaret on Broadway with Joel Grey and Lotte Lenya (even though there was a substitute that night for Lotte). Also caught the revival with Alan Cumming at the old Studio 54 in Manhattan. Gina Gershon took the Sally Bowles part. Loved her as "Corkie" the militant lesbo in Bound with Meg Tilly. Over the TOP! If you haven't seen it, RENT it. Great film.

I find it difficult to watch Lisa Minelli's OVERacting in the filmed version of Cabaret (so OVER the top grotesque) even though she does shine in the musical numbers. Wonder what mother Judy would've done with that role in her prime?

Would love to see what Björk could do with that role.....Fraulein Sally Björk (?)

Did you get her album POST in 5.1 yet. If not, DO so. I command YOU.....http://www.femaleledrelationships.com/female-domination-photographs/Mixtress-Whipping-Practice.jpg

I just ordered the dual disc. Where would I be without you!?

So, are you starting a new business on the side there? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=2tirQRHVwfg

Funny you mention Peter Sellars........Mr Sellars despised the color PURPLE and every time his estranged daughter would visit him, she'd purposely wear the color PURPLE......sort of like "The Purple People Eater!"

Last night, in anticipation of the BD~A of Distant Satellites, I played Anathema's wonderful DVD~A of "We're Here Because We're Here." Beautifully recorded, stunning surrounds and an all around wonderful album...and mixed into 5.1 by Steve Wilson.

And though I'm very much an Alpha male, I'm hardly a dominatrix~type, Brett. But every once in awhile, it pays to crack the whip!

Glad you ordered the Björk disc, POST HASTE!

And imagine Björk as Annie Oakley in "Annië, Gët Yër Güns".......hëë HÄW.....http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-w0wn-xflf9Y/TZI2Zz9fHrI/AAAAAAAAF3g/UMkJIPImBec/s1600/2_bjork.jpg

Old Peter certainly had his demons. Geoffrey Rush gave a brilliant performance of this enigma of a man in... The life and death of Peter Sellers.

Rush is so good that they should have had him play Inspector Clouseau instead of Steve Martin, who was flat. In fact, I would have even preferred Liza Minnelli in the role. LOL!!!

And for that Femdom urge...

Whip it, baby. Imagine that in 5.1 with the sound of the whip coming from the rear to the fronts.

And when it comes to playing Peter Sellars who does it better than a fellow Brit (Geoffrey Rush is always brilliant).

Another eclectic MLP DVD~A 5.1 you might have overlooked: bonnie 'prince' billy's "the letting go." Probably very hard to find but if you like different (as I told Adam... Lounge Music for the New Millennium) then try to seek out this little gem. SOTA recording with very generous surround envelopment. On drag city records. http://images.fineartamerica.com/images-medium-large/lizard-lounge-will-bullas.jpg

Wow: just found the DVD~A of Prince Billy on AmazonUS brand new for $11.25, Brett. HOW can you resist......as it would appeal to the "Lounge Lizard" in you and allow you to 'scale' new heights!

I promise to be a good girl, Mistress Ralphina. :-D LOL!

I don't know what you got me ordering, (but I must obey). So, The Bonnie Prince is on his merry way.

P.S. I believe Geoffrey is an Aussie. Remember The King's Speech? But also check out the film "Shine" if you really want to see him... well, SHINE!

And another scrumptious performance of his can be seen in "Quills" , which is about

Aaaaaaaaaah~ don't make me beg. ;-) ... https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=u--PYnIYewE

You're quite correct, Brett. Geoffrey, was, in fact, born in Toowoomba*, Australia. I've yet to see the King's Speech but I have seen Quills and Shine.

Fingers crossed you like the bonnie 'prince' billy 'experience.' VERY different and I'm sure being the little (er, big) prince that you are you'll enjoy the 'company.' Will bring a bit of pizzazz to the Orient!

More (ugh!) snow tonight into tomorrow......will dream (Zzzzz), tonight, of having the real Prince in SURROUND .......Little Red Corvette is in desperate need of a 5.1 alignment! http://www.seriouswheels.com/pics-2014/bc/2014-Chevrolet-Corvette-Stingray-Red-Static-7-1280x960.jpg

{*and say that fast ten times, Brett, while chomping on a jawbreaker}......Haw Hee yelped the dyslexic farmboy and Vista La Hasta!
