Well, it appears zealotry to me.

if only because modern CDs sound way too loud because of compressed dynamics.

That is a mastering decision, not an inherent feature of CD. Correctly made "flat transfer" from sixties tape would leave the bottom 30-40 dB of dynamic range unused on a CD. CD is so much better.

Try to keep to the facts, Rammie.

Actually I could easily do 20 chin-ups around the time I bought my first CD player.

Watch the restored BD~V and revel in the ambience!

Indeed!

My favourite scene is when Maria is en-route from the convent to assume her duties as Governess to the children, whilst singing "I Have Confidence". Lots of great vistas of Salzburg there that you would completely miss out on, in an audio-only format.

And all in fully restored Todd-AO 70mm film!!!!!!!

And probably cheaper than the Stereo only SACD!

Stereo only old tape transfers have no point, CD would be cheaper.

There is absolutely no high resolution content on tapes. period. It is hogwash and marketing.

This is SA-CD.net, not the Hydrogen Audio forums. Your posts are completely off-topic.
