This sounds excellent. Now I want to buy all The Band titles on SHM SACD, even though I've got the MFSLs. I compared this to the MFSL of the same title. Like the SHM SACD better. The MFSL sounds boosted in the mid-range. I need to find my AF redbook version and compare that too.

I almost bought a bunch of used copies of the MoFi releases. Glad I held off. Have you been able to compare any of the other titles?

I picked up The Band, Rock of Ages, SACD, it's OK. I think the SACD with studio discs would be preferred.

Rock of Ages doesn't sound very good on the MFSL either.

Could you tell me, if it says in the booklet something like this:
"2014 DSD mastering based on the US original analogue master tape"

It says "DSD flat transferred from US original analogue master tapes".

thanks for that. This is odd, since the original master tapes are lost, reason why the MoFi version The Band: The Band isn't called an "Original Master Recording" but "Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab", to reflect the fact that no original tapes could be used.
