Markie, I would buy the QUAD (or 5.1?) Moodies on SACD in mch while they're still available....especially Days of Future Passed, Every Good Boy Deserves Favor and Seventh Sojourn. Absolute Classics. And VERY discrete!

And of course, FD and I both want to see Blue Jays released by AF on QUAD SACD, as well.

Agree on both points. I would just add The Moody Blues: A Question of Balance and The Moody Blues: On the Threshold of a Dream.

It might be better to switch off the center channel & LFE with these Moody SACDs. The information on these channels is at such low levels. 4.0 sounds great!

Watched the DVD last night which accompanied the Rodrigo y Gabriela "Live in Tokyo" RBCD.......absolutely astounding with a Capital A. Watching them is exhausting but what they can command out of their respective guitars has to be seen to be deeply appreciated. I paid about $8 brand new for the pair!

Will DEFINITELY see them live when they come to our local Capitol Theater.

Bravissimo!

Interesting, I will check it out. Trying to save a couple penny's for the big spend in 2 weeks.

And while Brett is rushin' out to buy RUSH, why not pick up the awesome and very discrete Americana!

Americana - Modern Mandolin Quartet.

It's although you're in the room with the Modern Mandolin Quartet so vivid is the recording. Each instrument is in each speaker surrounding the listener. COOL from West Side Story is amazing.

As far as Markie saving pennies for his big purchase by not buying ANY new discs......ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, HAH!

With the $$$ you've spent already, you could've added a NEW wing onto your house!

That's another one I don't have. I assume however, if you mention it, it's worth getting, so will order accordingly. In fact, I think I'll pop into town tomorrow to see what I can pick up in some media shops, but if I don't see it @ £8 or less, I'll order when I get home.

Cheers,
for the recommendation.

Fwiw, I'm still waiting on my 'Superdisc' Sketches of Spain to arrive...

What a long hard ass week I had. But I made it to my favorite night, Friday night. Feeling burned out but fueling up so should be good to go soon.

Warming up the machine with SHM CD Motley Crue, Dr.Feelgood, heavy duty man, a big heavy rock hit machine if there ever was one. In fact it is what spurred Metallica to hire Bob Rock for there black album.

I think I am going to listen next to Steven Wilson's Hand.Cannot.Erase, BD~A 5.1, lets go for pure sonic brilliance while we are at it.

The dog wants food, he can wait.
