Looking forward to these!

But just wondering if there is any discussion of more Roxy in 5.1?

Avalon's surround mix makes one yearn for more than this...

Now that sounds like good news!!

Excepting Avalon, I will buy them all immediately on release (having already Roxy Music: Avalon in possession; which is of course MC; not that it matters to me) --- hoping that the prices will not be too steep. The first run of this band (up until Country Life; Siren has never grabbed my attention so much) is simply brilliant, but some tracks on latter-day RM's Manifesto and Flesh and Blood are very good as well.

There's said to be a 5.1 Steven Wilson remix of the first album in the can.

In US dollars, fausto K, the current price is $34 per disc.

I'll probably purchase at least five of them.

As for Steve Wilson's 5.1 Roxy Music remaster in the can, fredblue.......which album is it specifically...the eponymous first album Roxy Music?

As for windhoek's purchase of the 2012 RBCD remasters.......lest we forget, the SHM~SACDs are single layered and have no rbcd layer.

That's a good point Rammie, so I could use the 2012 remasters on my portable player (small file size) and use my Sony gaming gadget to rip the SACDs to my HTPC.

With Bryan Ferry being rather multichannel~friendly (Avalon, Boys and Girls, the DVD~A of Frantic and a 5.1 of Roxy Music 'in the can') I wonder if it would be prudent to wait for the Steve Wilson complete Roxy Music 5.1 remasters?

Ashame that Universal Japan couldn't see fit to release the upcoming SHM~SACD of Avalon in M~CH, as well, since the OOP SACD is fetching tidy sums and also the unreleased SW 5.1 remix of Roxy Music would be a welcomed bonus on the SHM~SACD.

SHM-SACD is aimed at the Japanese market, where, as I'm sure it has been pointed out before, one is not so keen on MC as elsewhere, which makes sense, if you consider how small living spaces there generally are (well, in urban areas at least).
Given this, why would Universal Japan make the extra effort of producing Stereo cum MC discs?

As much as I understand your frustration, Rammiepie, there are still SACD lovers out there, who don't care for MC :-) (e.g. myself, despite a 25 sq m living room)

I've waited years for these albums to get an sacd release. M/C would be great but stereo will be just fine.
