Well, I was "they" that placed the microphones, and I had three complete orchestral rehearsals to experiment with. So, I think the result is both honest to St Florian and complimentary to this fantastic orchestra -- average age of the musicians is 17!!
Sounds great, I would really like to hear your recording in its native hi res form. Where can it be bought as a hi res download?

Gramola has scheduled release in Europe for December. USA release will be January. At this time I know of no high-res download possibilities, but this is being discussed with Gramola.

It's already available through the label's own website, for those who're interested (as an SACD release).

Imho,the sooner the better!
I hope I am wrong but to me it seems as if the labels slowest to adapt to a new reality are mainly the Austro/German ones. A youth orchestra and no download? What are they thinking? This album has got a well above average chance to actually attract young people as buyers. Young people don't buy CDs. Nor do I and I am 65.

Googled everywhere and can't find a DSD download. Why should I buy CD version if there is a DSD one? I really think Gramola should consider to work with a website, hdtrack, nativedsd,.... to make things work.
After all, there are many Bruckner 8 available in DSD version, like Channelge Classics' Zweden with NRPO. I have to tell myself three times a day to not buy this one and wait for Gramola's...

There is no CD of this recording. It is an SACD hybrid disc, with the SACD layer containing the 5-channel high resolution tracks.

hi Proffitt , thanks for the correct.
I have checked their website and only found 16/44.1 version. Really want to hear it in DSD because that is what the recording engineer want to show.
I dont have SACD player, but there is a W4S DAC-1 LE in my bedroom. Proffitt, is there any possible to persuade them to work with a website, e.g., NativeDSD? I just bought ChallengeRecords' Bruckner 8, super sound! Really want to hear this one in DSD too.
And the 9th this year?

I believe that something will be worked out to provide a high-res, multichannel download for the B8 recording, eventually. Gramola has distribution agreements with Naxos, which complicates the planning.
Yes, B9 will be recorded in St Florian August 21st -- I'll be there!

Will they be including the fourth movement for this recording?
