I have seen them as hi res downloads for much less! I also have most of them on DGG LPs and imo there are better Mozart recordings both musically and SQ wise from other sources. I am pretty sure Esoteric have used the same 24/96 files as the downloads for their SACDs. ... more | |

It seems Graham Williams here does like it though,and I rarely disagree with him. But I think he got one thing a bit wrong in his review this time,possibly even two things. One pianist who at least according to his own by the way, very interesting autobiography, actually confessed to skippping,glossing over and missing a note here and there at times was Arthur Rubenstein. I have the LP set since it was released and like it a lot. Musically it is my favourite Mahler 6th. I know the 5th has been released as a hi res download most probably from the 24/96 pcm remaster of the original analogue tapes. Karajan's Mahler 5 is also the best played recording imho.
