Advert says "5 double jewel cases for the storage and transportation of 2 CDs/DVDs each" so I guess they'll take 2 discs.

They are the regualar NEW hinge cases that usualy contains one disc. But you can put two discs in it (on top of each other) as shown in the pictures on amazon.
I also noticed the price went up since I posted.

I wrote this mail to the owner of a renowned label few years back, he did kindly replied, but not as to replace disc with a jewel case, instead with better soft tissue slip case. This mail is minimally edited to conceal the label's identity. -----------------
Dear Mr XX
I remember bringing to your attention some while ago that CD should be housed in the normal jewel box to avoid scratches on the surface by clumsy packaging handler. The LP-style of slipping CD into the thin protecting slip case would inevitably caused blemish to the surface, not to mention the finger print marks left at the corner of the disc at each use.
I recently bought your product "XXXX" by Selena Jones, nothing visibly wrong under the naked eyes but if the disc is placed under strong lamp lights, the blemishes on the surface are very obvious. There are virtually hair-line scratches all over the disc surface. I don't think this would happens if the CD is packed in the standard jewel box. Though it does not affects the sound but this is not something to be expected from a label like XXX. For your info, I bought this disc factory-sealed from a local dealer.
I am not sure if you had received similar feedback from others but I hope you may consider my earlier suggestion above. Your sincere supporter

I guess nobody read "We've just learned (on Dec. 12, 2013) that Super Jewel Box UK is continuing production" ... so no need to stock up on anything.
