Yes, I like it. Karajan and the BPO might be more majestic, but this new one has better sound.

Funnily enough, I have just bought on Amazon UK and it's arrived today - can't wait to hear as I love both works, especially the Berg.

I listened to it again last night for maybe the fifth time and still came away with no clear feeling or thought beyond being seriously underwhelmed. H von K and his BPO recordings were never my cup of tea, simply too slick by half, but Pelleas is one he got right, giving the music a clear dramatic arc that's sadly missing in this version. The sound is good enough without being special in any way. I don't know the Berg pieces well enough to comment.

For the Berg, on SACD Gatti with the Royal Concertgebouw is hard to beat. Berg: Lulu Suite, 3 Orchestral Pieces - Gatti
Well, I have several works of Berg, Schönberg, Webern etc, and I quite like them all except for the "LuLu Suite", which I detest.
Just my opinion, BTW.

I'm listening again, having not done so for a long time, to Schoenberg, Berg, Webern - Karajan Now I know that some here are fairly dismissive of Esoteric's remasters, but the Berg Orchesterstücke on this disc (along with the other two works) is not to be missed!
