Got confirmation from CPO that this recording uses a modern piano. Yay!!(seriously folks, I have period pianos). Will now order this for an hour or so of what I expect will be sheer fun.

Any release of Handel's music is cause for celebration. And.. just as with Bach's keyboard concertos, I look forward to hearing these concertos played on a modern piano and discovering what new insights can be revealed in the score. It appears that the six concertos of Op. 7 are soon to follow.
